Four hospitals. One privately owned team.
Wellness Animal Hospital is privately owned and operated, not part of a corporate chain. That means the doctors who know your pet make the care decisions, and every location holds itself to the same standard.
Our founder, Dr. Nina Krajewski, grew up in Sarasota. She went to Cardinal Mooney High School, then Barry University in Miami and the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, always planning to come home. After starting her career in Orlando, she took over Wilhelm Animal Hospital, the late Dr. Wilhelm's practice on Fruitville Road in Sarasota, and ran it as Dr. Nina's Animal Hospital for about 12 years. She then sold that practice to open the four Wellness Animal Hospitals.
Her goal hasn't changed: excellent medical care for the pets of Sarasota, Bradenton, and Parrish, from a team she's proud of. Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. All four locations are accepting new dogs and cats, and our White Eagle hospital also sees small exotic pets.
Can I get a same-day appointment if my pet is sick?
Yes. We keep same-day care available for sick pets. Walk-ins are welcome, and calling ahead helps us prepare. You can also check the next available time when you book online.
Do you handle emergencies?
Yes. All four hospitals see emergencies during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Please call on your way so we can be ready for you. After 6pm and on weekends, go to one of these emergency hospitals:

Is Wellness Animal Hospital a corporate chain?
No. We have four locations, but we're privately owned and operated.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring any past records or vaccine history, a list of medications, and a stool sample if you have one.
Do you offer payment options?
Yes. We accept cash, all major credit cards, and CareCredit, a health care credit card that lets you pay for your pet’s care over time. A 3% convenience fee applies to all card payments, including CareCredit. We’re not able to accept debit cards.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Just your pet, really. Nothing below is required, but it helps if you have it:
- New clients: any past medical records, and a fresh stool sample if there’s a concern.
- Returning clients: a fresh stool sample, if you have one.
- Anyone: photos or a video of a behavior or symptom you’ve noticed, or anything you want us to see, like something your pet chewed or ate.
